Festival of Nine Chairs

During the first lockdown in the UK, we were all severely restricted as to whom we could meet and where we could go. While I could not meet my family or friends, I could walk unrestricted in our local Devon countryside and woods. Here I dug up, cleaned  and processed local clay which fires to produce a deeply red terracotta finish. (see chairs 4 & 5 numbering from the left of the row).
These chairs are my symbolic representation of this enforced isolation. Friends and family are missing. No chairs are allowed to touch.
